Rescuing a Generation
Sociologists identify three major generational groups born since 1965. They are known as Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z. The three groups combined represent approximately 204 million people. The majority of these generations have rejected traditional Christianity. Many express themselves as being spiritual but not religious. Viewing the landscape for the prospect of a new revival or spiritual awakening can be discouraging. What can one man do? How can one ministry, one church or even one generation make any inroads to such an overwhelming problem? History has taught us there always two great elements to any revival or awakening. The first is for God’s people to become people of prayer. We must learn to pray prayers of repentance. When Nehemiah learned of the failure of his people in Jerusalem he prayed Lord forgive us. Though he had never been to Jerusalem, he didn’t pray Lord for THEM. He said “Lord forgive us”. All of us who trust in Jesus Christ as Messiah must begin to pray “Lord forgive us”. GS Men has a video prayer series available now to allow any man to lead a prayer group.
The second great element to all revivals is a return to God’s word. 2 Tim 2:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. The truth of God’s word can save any generation. In November GS Men will release a new video entitled Rescuing a Generation. This six part series will demonstrate how any man of God can become equipped with God’s word to lead all men to Jesus. You do not have to be a seminary graduate to be a leader of men. This series will give you the tools you need to Rescue a Generation. Let me challenge you to download this series and begin the journey of being a man of God who is complete and equipped for every good work. Share this video with your pastor and your church. The God we serve can rescue a generation through you.
